2025 International Young Artists Competition
CHAMBER MUSIC AND ENSEMBLE CATEGORY
COMPETITION GUIDELINES
Registration Deadline(Both Live and YouTube Entry): March 3, 2025, 11:59 PM ET
The competition is open to students between the ages of 8 and 19 at the time of the
competition. Only one piano is available. Acceptable ensembles include:
One piano with 4 hands or 6 hands
Instrumentals duos (e.g., string/piano, winds/piano sonatas)
Trios or larger chamber music ensembles, with a maximum of six students
Application Fee:
$80 per participant (non-refundable).
Winners Concert Fee:
$200 per person, which covers 2 tickets, certificates, and trophies. Additional tickets are $65 each
The winners’ fee and application fee must be paid at the time of registration. The winners’ fee will be refunded if the applicant is not selected as a winner.
Winners must perform at the Winners’ Concerts to receive their awards; otherwise, they will forfeit their status. Winners’ fees are non-refundable under any circumstances, even if they do not participate in the Winners’ Concerts.
Repertoire Requirements:
One music selection, not to exceed 10 minutes, from standard chamber music/ensemble repertoire. Note: Concertos for solo instruments or solo pieces with piano accompaniment are not allowed. Any ensemble that includes piano accompaniment must be accompanied by a student pianist. If you have any questions, please contact NLPA.
The maximum time limit is 10 minutes and 1 second. A timer will be present during the live audition to ensure the time limit is respected. Please choose your repertoire carefully.
No repeats or cuts in the music are allowed.
No changes to the repertoire are allowed once it has been submitted.
No amplifiers or speakers are permitted.
Live Audition Entry Guidelines:
The competition schedule will be sent via email with detailed instructions.
All students must bring a copy of the music or the original book.

Dress Code:
Proper concert attire is required for both the competition and the Winners Concert.
