COVID-19 RELATED GUIDELINES
As of March 30, 2022
Current Covid Policies (subject to change with further guidance and mandates):
At Kaufman Music Center, your health and safety remain our biggest priority. We will continue to follow COVID-19 guidelines issued by the Center for Disease Control, New York State and New York City as circumstances continue to change. To ensure the safety of our community, the following protective measures will be in place at all Merkin Hall performances:
All guests must wear a mask properly at all times while in the building.
Audience members age 12 and older will need to be fully vaccinated with an FDA or WHO approved vaccine and must show proof of vaccination along with a government-issued photo ID.
Audience members ages 5 to 11 must have at least one dose of an FDA or WHO approved vaccine. For audience members ages 5 to 11 who do not have a government-issued ID and must show proof of vaccination along with a government-issued photo ID, their identity can be verified by a parent of guardian upon entry.
Patrons who are not able to be vaccinated due to a medical condition or sincerely held religious belief must show proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of the performance start time.
Performers, staff, and vendors must also comply with audience policies in addition to those below.
Masks must be worn by all individuals except while performing on stage (up to 45 people).
All performers must provide a negative result from a Covid test (PCR or antigen) taken within 72 hours of the performance start time. The lab results must have the person’s name, date it was administered, and result. At-home tests are not acceptable.
If any performer, staff member, or vendor is not vaccinated for medical reasons, that person’s name and a signed note from their doctor explaining why they cannot be vaccinated must be submitted to me no later than two weeks prior to the event. That person will need to provide a negative result from a PCR (not antigen) test taken within 72 hours of the performance start time. The lab results must have the person’s name, date it was administered, and result. There is no religious exemption for performers.
